Current Research

The chair for Software Engineering for Business Information Systems (sebis) at the TU München, currently researches on the topic of agile organizations. Current research includes one bachelor's thesis, one master's thesis and one PhD project.

A bachelor's thesis aims to survey and analyze popular process frameworks for supporting agile IT organizations. Thereby, the following research questions should be answered:

  • What are popular process frameworks for agile IT organizations?
  • What are the reasons for the raison d'être of process frameworks for agile IT organizations?
  • What are the essential concepts and ideas behind process frameworks for agile IT organizations?
  • What are the differences and commonalities process frameworks for agile IT organizations?

Secondly, a master's thesis aims to determine the role of architecture in a scaled organization by conducting a case study in the insurance industry. Thereby, the master's thesis aims to answer the following research questions:

  • What are popular process frameworks for agile IT organizations?
  • How can be the identified process frameworks used in the insurance industry?
  • Which process frameworks are suitable or respectively not suitable in the insurance industry?
